Why Not Use Free Online Business Cards For Your Local Business Marketing

Here is a tool that helps !! …. for local business marketing.

Easy to set up and customize for your business  and you can edit it at no cost. When  you need to make changes on a paper business card –its back to the printer—-more cost.

Savvy Business Cards are in Beta testing – here is my personal feedback.

Benefits; They can be branded with your company details etc

They can be shared on your social media community and you can link your social media sites to the card.

You can create a QR code which you can use for your marketing materials

You can create an email signature

Link to your site

Save Money On Printing  Costs

There is a notes section which gives you an opportunity to have a note : For example  a particular service or product your company provides , an award etc

You will look very professional by being up to date

The only minus I have found………..

is when I tried to call my number is did not work it just displayed the number. I can imagine that could be because my location is Ireland

I would be interested if anyone else has tried this tool —-your feedback ??

Interesting. I went to the site but did not sign up as I could not figure out how the cards are shared and if they are compatible with my contacts. i would need to know that first. Let us know more after this is out of Beta.

    • Hi Garry,

Delighted you went to the site , if you go to the site and make the business card at the end of the instructions you publish it and you get a link that can be shared . I hope that answers your question here is my link for example – http://savvycard.net/rosemaryoshaughnessy/mysavvycard I hope that answers your question. I enjoyed our chat earlier. take care Rosemary

Can I have more than one card with the same name but different title? Thanks.

    • Kevin,

Yes with the account you could set up different cards, for example if you had different business. You would have a different link for each card. Thanks very much for your feed back . take care Rosemary

    Hello Rosemary,
I am thinking that is a smart idea to put under our mails like an e mail signature can we have these cards smaller than the examples shown in their site?
What is the advantage of having a business card compared to the link of our contact page of our site?

    Thanks for your feedback!

    • Hi Patricia,

Delighted to see you back on the site. As I said in the article it is in Beta at the moment. When I made the card there was only one size. The handy thing about the cards is you can add a lot of details about your business which can be updated. But one disadvantage to use it that way is you do not get the stats . On the contact form I can see how many people look at it and how many people contact me. It is good to understand and the different ways to promote our businesses. take care Rosemary

Hi Rosemary, This looks like a great idea! I like things when they are in beta because it usually means the prices will go higher when they roll.
Thank you for reviewing this and giving me the opportunity to check this out. I haven’t seen it yet, and getting to it right now. It looks great!
    Thanks
    Donna

    • Hi Donna,

Delighted you liked the little tip. You have made a good point about the beta testing. I have to say I was happy with the …FREE version I used for the card. Especially if I change hand bags I can forget my business cards and this give me extra back up for such times. Because I would not forget my handbag and phone. Have a fantastic weekend. Rosemary

Rosemary, I had not heard of this idea before. It seems pretty easy to implement and when I went to your card, it looked very professional.

All the contacts lined up so I didn’t have to go searching through a website to find how to get hold of someone. This seems like it would be an idea that would work really, really well on a mobile device. I didn’t look at your card on my mobile, but the way the page is laid out it look like it would display without a ton of scrolling.

Thank you, this is a cool idea that I can see has a lot of potential.

    • Michael,

Delighted you like this tip. I have checked the card and it displays very well on my iPhone. The only issue I see is I guess due to my location that my number just displays rather than being able to click to ring.

It is great to see your returning to this site take care Rosemary

    Hi Rosemary,

I immediately fall in love with this when I started reading your post from the beginning. I find this is unique and if it is for local business then it is fine that they can just pick up the phone to call :-)) So, just a display on phone number shouldn’t be any problem ! :-)

Glad I stop by your blog to grab such goodie ! What a wonderful gift i will take back with me, Rosemary :-)

I love to get more information later on.

Thanks again for your kindness in sharing this.

    Cheers ! :-)
    Pearly

    • Hi Pearly,

Delighted you found this a useful tip. I thought it looked very professional and being able to add notes to the card is a great feature.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for sharing this post with your friends.

      Take care Rosemary

    Hello Rosemary,

I’ve not heard of this company before, so I will certainly be checking them out.
Great idea and sometimes it happens that you can run out of cards at a function so this is great way of avoiding being caught short! Thanks very much for the tip :)

    • Sadie,

Delighted you found this a useful tip, yes it is always great to have an online version as well as the paper cards. I enjoyed the video you shared earlier about Mark Zuckerberg. Take care Rosemary

  9. Hi Rosemary,
This is a great idea and i will check this out when I am done here.

I really need an email signature so if this is easy to set up, I will use it. I tried another service and that wasn’t easy to use so I gave up but I think a digital card or ecard is really helpful. Simple is important for busy people!

    Thanks again.
    Clare

    • Clare,
