Save Time With Voice To Text For Linkedin, Emails, WordPress
Let’s be honest folks, some of us out there are not the best typists on planet earth and therefore typing for Linkedin, Emails and WordPress
DOES TAKE TIME
There is in reality only one solution towards ditching the keyboard and the answer is………….. voice recognition !
If you have visited workingonthego.net folks you will realise that I am a big fan of dragon Naturally Speaking software
Dragon has saved me time and money on countless occasions over the years when without secretarial help, I was able to dictate lengthy memos and letters and have the software magically convert my voice into text…..
Check out my posts on Dragon in action…………… you can really do so much with it!! Dragon has indeed turned my expensive iPhone into more than just a pretty gadget…..mine is now a workhorse…… check my post to learn more by clicking here!
Yes Many people out there are fans of voice recognition and yes many are not.
But the power and practicality of using your voice is not going to go away folks –“voice” is currently big noise out there……… just look at Google Voice ,Siri or indeed the new dictation facility in ics for android.
Recently a girlfriend of mine who knew nothing about Dragon Naturally Speaking was more than surprised watching me using Dragon in action on the laptop. Whilst she thought it all brilliant, very matter-of-factly she stated that as a housewife was there anything out there that was less complicated…… so that she could do simple Emails, Letters and updates for Social Media Sites using her voice.
After a bit of surfing, I came across this site www.talktyper.com
If you are new to voice recognition then I believe that this handy little FREE tool will be of particular benefit for many of you. Once you have a microphone and once you’re connected to the net, to use this free online tool is as simple as ABC.
JUST WATCH THE VIDEO BELOW
Obviously it pales in comparison to the power of Dragon Naturally Speaking software, but for those of you who like myself are not the best typists ,it is a handy way to dictate short e-mails , Linkedin etc . After all when you are online working on your social media…..all you have to do is open Talktyper in another tab….and away you go !!!
This tool will save you time and anything that saves time has to be welcomed.

Great software there Rosemary, because who wants to type on a hand-held iPhone or pad. Back to the one finger speed of years gone by. Soon we will be able to talk back to the GPS when it gets us lost, which is long overdue, LOL
Kind ragards,
Robert.

Excellent information Rosemary! I can remember attempting to utilize voice recognition software in its infancy & being less than impressed. What a world of difference between then & now! Voice recognition software can be an extremely valuable tool, not only for those who are “keyboard-challenged” but also for those of us who are supreme multi-taskers!

Hello Rosemary! Great tips as usual. I have Dragon, now… I have to read a passage for 20 minutes so that Dragon recognizes my voice, which tends to be fast in both English and French!
It’s on my list for next week. I can see it will be a brilliant time saver for me once I put in the effort with it. I’m going to take a peak at the TypeTalker site. I’m away to share this post now, tips like these can help to many people to save time :)

Hi Patricia,
You are very welcome, if it can understand an Irish accent I am sure it will have no bother with an Italian accent. It is always great to see you here. take care Rosemary
