Is Your Facebook Business Page Reaching Customers ??

Facebook For Business – An Important Business Tip – Are You Reaching Your Customers and Potential customers.

Have you filled in the info section of your Facebook Page properly –  Explaining what exactly your business is about , what products or services your provide .

Why is this very important:

Can you imagine if you met someone offline and you did not introduce yourself and your business . Then they asked you exactly what your business was about. You could not give them a clear description. Do you really believe that person would be bothered trying to find out more.

Your information section;

The information section is an important way to give a clear outline of who and what your business is about.

Yesterday, I got a message on Facebook from another business wanting to know if I would like to build a relationship with their business for the mutual benefit of  each  of our page s. The first thing I did was check out the information section on their page and there was no introduction etc.

The result of all of this was I had to get back to them. Will everyone bother and will you lose a lead before you even begin.

Are your aware:

If the information section is filled out well your business details with the keywords of what you provide. This is an a factor of your page ranking in Google.

It is great to get traffic from Google to your Facebook Page and Business.

Here is a little video to explain to show you my page and explain.

Do Not Forget Like This Post and Share it On Google+ With Your Friends

With Many Thanks Rosemary

    Hey Rosemary

I think some businesses should repeat some of the stuff they write on the facebook page about what they do to a real person and see it anyone understands what they are talking about.

    • Rosemary O Shaughnessy on January 25, 2012

Peter , so true, also people can use jargon to often for there particular industry that your customers and clients might not understand. Yes it is a brilliant idea to ask for feed back from colleagues friends and family. Take care Rosemary

Great tips that you share here Rosemary. At times I feel its obvious to complete your profile so others know exactly your purpose and how you will benefit and bring them results. But there are still many online businesses, marketers and entrepreneurs unaware how this could increase more visibility to them and their business.

    • Rosemary O Shaughnessy on January 25, 2012

Lynn, so true , and for offline business as well. It is like having a clear business card with your job title address etc a generation ago . Many thanks for your feed back take care Rosemary

I refer people more to my FB fan page, rather to my FB profile and I have put a lot of good info in the information section. I even have my portfolio in there. I still have yet to to a custom welcome page… but that is due to my recent theme update. Theme updates mean changing all the graphics to match everywhere…lol.

However, I see a lot of FB pages that do not provide information I need to know in order to determine if I want to open my FB stream to another page’s info. I guess I can only hope that sharing your post will reach them and hopefully this problem is fixed. Thanks!

    • Rosemary O Shaughnessy on January 26, 2012

Nile, I will have a look at your information section on your page as I am well aware you have many skills that give great value for wordpress users . How to use Facebook is a big learning curve and like everyone we did need guidance and I am delighted to say we have many skilled friends. Take care Rosemary

Excellent advice Rosemary. My information is posted, but I’ve neglected my “fan” page pretty badly in recent weeks – basically just posting new articles. I’ve begun to slip over to the dark side I’m afraid (shifting to Google+) but this is a good reminder to not give up on FB. Thanks!

    • Rosemary O Shaughnessy on January 27, 2012

      Marquita,

It is a balancing trick to keep up to date with everything. I can understand you attraction to Google + it has plenty of fun new toys like hangouts. I still find there is a lot happening on Facebook all the same. Take care Rosemary
